About Me

I have studied Cinematics in UEL (University of East London) and successfully graduated in the degree Bachelor of Arts (Honours), B.A.(Hons) in 2004.

                                                                                                           Writing & Directing

I love writing, creating personalities, developing new worlds, which melt and flow into each other with good dialogue and captivating moving images. By communication through moving pictures and my scripts I want to touch the hearts and minds of the people, invite and take them on a visual journey.

It is all about entertainment.

As a writer it is my wish to attract your attention with clever dialogs with full of suprises and excitement, which motivates the reader/viewer to think and takes the public with help of the right way of directing into another world.

Currently I am working as a writer on four different in English written projects. My ideas and concepts are complex, but always stringent and authentic. I work stylistically confident and the genres normally covered are: comedy, drama, romance, mysteries, adventure, action, science fiction and fantasy. I can imagine even one of my projects as well as a comic version. In my desired activities, I work as a screenwriter and have the need to develop storyboards myself.

It is important for me to direct my own scripts, this way I can reflect the vision, which I have while developing these stories. I am excited to direct any genre as long as I can feel the screenplay and get one with it.

Editing

Besides writing, directing and storyboards I have been editing short films, trailers, of conferences, workshops and interviews with the editing program Final Cut Pro & Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5. Based on the Apple operating system, the HD-capable editing software has been convincing worldwide – through digital non-linear videocut in high-quality, native support for virtually any video format as well as enlargement possibilities (expansibility) and interoperability at studio level.

Post Production

Typically, the post-production phase of creating a film takes longer than the actual shooting of the film, and can take several days or months to complete because it includes the complete editing, color correction and the addition of music and sound. The process of editing a movie is also seen as the second directing because through the post production it is possible to change the intention of the movie. Furthermore through the use of color corecting tools and the addition of music and sound, the atmosphere of the movie can be heavily influenced for instance a blue-tinted movie is associated with a cold atmosphere and the choice of music and sound increases the effect of the shown scenes to the audience.

My experience level

I have made various short movies and filmed many meetings, interviews… also edited various short films of other directors and was responsible for the post production.

Filmmaking is all about having a heart – can you feel it, you can make others feel it too, without it you are just empty – so your film. – Alev
